Microgreens are a tiny form of edible greens produced from the seeds of vegetables, herbs, or other plants. Micro greens are the stage of development in between a sprout and a baby green. They not only contain 9x – 40x more nutrients than their mature counterparts (ex: broccoli micro greens > regular broccoli), but are topped off with an extra boost of life-sustaining chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is defined as “nature’s greatest healer” since it contains more healing properties than any other element.
What is Jute?
We utilize jute as our foundation to grow micro greens. Jute is a long, soft, shiny bast fiber that can be spun into coarse, strong threads. The jute mats that we grow our microgreens from easily absorb water and is compostable.
